Set Product Review Points
Product review rewards are a powerful tool for building store reputation. When customers share authentic shopping experiences through product reviews, they earn points as rewards. Merchants can customize review reward point values, adjust reward frequency, and set eligible product ranges to create a positive shopping environment.
Set Point Rules
Click Add ways to earn -> Write review -> Add.
- Rule name: Provide a name for this reward rule to facilitate easy management.
- Earn points: Set points earned per product review. Only positive integers from 1 to 100,000 are accepted, default is 100. Tip: Set reward values appropriate for your points system.
- Integrate review app: Select an installed review app in your store (Currently only supports Judge.me.). Ensure the review app is installed and integrated before enabling review rewards. For details on the integration, see Integrate with Judge.me.
- Set earning frequency: Set how often customers can earn points through reviews - daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or first review only.
Preview and Publish
Check your settings in the Summary section to the right. The system provides a real-time summary here. Once you confirm the details, click Save to activate the rule.
You can manage this rule—view, edit, enable, or disable it—via the Earn points list.
TIP
Use the status switch to easily toggle this rule on or off.
Integrate Judge.me Review App
Judge.me is a product review app for Shopify that helps merchants collect and display reviews, manage ratings, promote social sharing, and optimize SEO, thereby enhancing customer trust and boosting sales.
Obtain Judge.me Key
- Install the Judge.me app from the Shopify App Store and join the Awesome plan.
- In the Judge.me app, navigate to General Settings -> Integrations -> View API Token and Copy Private API Token.
Integrate Judge.me
You can integrate with review app Judge.me via the point rules page or in Settings, below is how to integrate with the Settings page:
- Click Settings -> Integrations -> Judge.me.
- Input your Judge.me API key and establish the connection and then click Connect.

Q1: Can I enable review points without integrating a review app?
A: No. You must first integrate a store review app to enable review points. Currently, only Judge.me is supported. You can integrate it using the Integrations button on the page.
Q2: Can I enable review points if my store uses a different review app?
A: Currently, the system only supports Judge.me as the review app. If your store uses other review apps, please contact our support team with your app requirements for potential future support.
Q3: How can I prevent points abuse through fake reviews?
A: All reviews are set to "Pending" status before points are awarded. Merchants can manually review and approve points distribution. If you prefer automatic approval, you can set the default review status to "Approved" in "Settings."
