Email Notifications
Markivo Loyalty & Rewards' email system allows you to customize automated email notifications for customer communications. Through proper email configuration, you can maintain effective engagement with your customers.
Built-in Email Notifications
Access email settings via: Apps -> Settings -> Email. Here you can configure sender name, reply-to address, and various trigger-based email notifications.
Basic Settings
- Sender Name: Use your brand or store name (100 character limit) to help customers quickly identify your emails.
- Reply-to Address: Email address for receiving customer responses - recommend using a dedicated customer service email for centralized management.
Automated Email Triggers
- Points Awarded: Automatic notification when customers earn points.
- Points Expiration: Reminders sent 30 and 7 days before points expire.
- Birthday Rewards: Automatically sent on customer birthdays with follow-up reminders if unclaimed.
- Reward Earned: Notifications for point redemptions, VIP level achievements, or successful referrals.
- Reward Expiration: Reminders sent 30 and 7 days before rewards expire.
- VIP Level Achievement: Notification when customers reach new VIP tiers.
- Referral Complete: Notification when customers successfully refer friends.
Klaviyo Email Marketing Integration
Markivo Loyalty & Rewards now supports integration with the Klaviyo email marketing app to expand its marketing functionalities. Klaviyo allows you to enhance marketing campaigns by synchronizing data from other platforms. Key data that can be synced includes:
- Customer Status
- Customer Birthday
- Points
- VIP Status
- Referral Links
Obtaining Klaviyo Key
- Install Klaviyo from the Shopify App Store.
- Register a Klaviyo account.
- In Klaviyo: Settings -> Account -> API keys, create and copy a new private API key. Note: Choose Full Access Key when creating the key.
Integration Steps
- Navigate to: Apps -> Markivo Loyalty & Rewards -> Settings -> Integrations -> Klaviyo.
- Enter your Klaviyo API key.
- Once connected, the following data will sync to Klaviyo:
- Points nearing expiration (trigger at 30 and 7 days remaining)
- Rewards nearing expiration (trigger at 30 and 7 days remaining)
- Customer birthday rewards (trigger when issued)
- Completed referrals (trigger when completed)
- VIP level achievements (trigger when reached)
- Points redeemed for rewards (trigger when redeemed)
- Upon connection, the system syncs customer status, birthdays, points, VIP status, and referral links to Klaviyo.
