Markivo Discount & Upsell enhances your sales performance through flexible strategies such as bundling, mix-and-match, and volume discounts. Let's explore these benefits using the "Black Friday" mega-sale as a practical example to help you get started with Markivo Discount & Upsell.

Scenario

Imagine you are the operations manager at an online fashion store preparing for Black Friday. Your key objectives are to maximize sales, clear seasonal inventory, enhance customer satisfaction, and strengthen brand loyalty.

To meet these goals, we'll employ three key marketing strategies: combo sets, tiered discounts, and cross-selling.

Step 1: Create Combo Sets

Combo sets increase the diversity and quantity of purchases. Here's how to set them up:

  1. Log into your Shopify store management page.
  2. Navigate to Apps -> Markivo Discount & Upsell.
  3. Select Standard Discounts, choose Fixed Bundle, and click Create.
  4. On the page, configure your settings:
    • Campaign Name: e.g., "Better Together."
    • Active Dates: Set the start and end dates, e.g., 20241101-20241130.
    • Products: Click Add Products, select items like a computer and mouse from your inventory to form the combo. Adjust the quantity if needed; default is 1.
    • Discount: Opt for a percentage discount, e.g., 10%.
  5. Extra free shipping discount: Opt-out as default.

Preview your discount effects in real-time, Save as Draft for adjustments, or Publish immediately. Once published, manage it in the Campaign list - edit, copy, activate, pause, or delete.

Step 2: Set Up Tiered Bulk Discounts

Tiered discounts can significantly boost customer purchase intent. Here’s how to establish them:

  1. Go to Mixed and Match, select Tiered Bulk Discount, and click Create.
  2. On the page, configure your settings:
    • Campaign Name: e.g., "Step Up Savings".
    • Active Dates: Set the start and end dates, e.g., 20241101-20241130.
    • Products: Select All products.
    • Tiered Rules: Base discounts on order amounts or quantities, for instance:
      • Spend $50, save $5
      • Spend $100, save $15
      • Spend $200, save $40
  3. Extra free shipping discount: Opt-out as default.

Preview your settings in real-time, Save as Draft, or Publish immediately. Manage the rule in the Campaign List.

Step 3: Configure Cross-Selling

Boost the shopping cart value significantly through enhanced cross-selling. Here’s how:

  1. Navigate to Upsell & Cross-Selling, opt for Pre-Order Offers (In Product Page), and click Create.
  2. In the page, configure your settings:
    • Campaign Name: e.g., "You May Also Like."
    • Active Dates: Define the start and end dates, e.g., 20241101-20241130.
    • Triggers: Choose all products, a product series, or specific items. Customize or use Shopify's recommendations.
    • Discount: Set an additional discount, e.g., 5%.
  3. Limit the number of times a consumer can participate in cross-selling, keep default settings off.

Preview, Save as Draft, or Publish immediately. Manage the campaign in the Campaign List.
