1. Why can't I set up a progress bar on the checkout page?

Due to Shopify's checkout page limitations, merchants cannot customize or add progress bars to the checkout interface.

2. Can I switch between General Mode and Specific Mode after creation?

The mode must be selected according to the store's needs during creation. Once created, the mode for a specific Free Shipping/Announcement Bar cannot be switched.

3. How is the weight threshold for the Free Shipping Bar calculated for virtual products?

Virtual products in the cart are calculated as having a weight of 0 and do not affect the free shipping threshold.

4. How do product recommendations work in the cart?

There are two recommendation modes:

  • Smart Recommendation: Based on Shopify’s official algorithm to determine recommended products.
  • Custom Recommendation: Products are recommended from the set of products you specify.

5. How do I set up a multilingual Free Shipping/Announcement Bar?

Use Specific Mode to create separate Free Shipping/Announcement Bars for different languages and countries/regions, with corresponding language settings for the guide messages.

6. When will the Free Shipping/Announcement Bar appear after publishing or updating?

The bars will appear when the buyer opens or refreshes the page, as long as the display conditions are met.

7. Can multiple Free Shipping/Announcement Bars be displayed on the same page?

Yes, you can display multiple bars on different areas of the page. However, if they are in the same area, the most recently created bar will take precedence.

8. If I edit a Free Shipping/Announcement Bar from a single-market to a multi-market setup, will there be any impact?

If the original bar uses a non-store currency, it will be adjusted to the store currency when edited.

9. When should I use IP-based currency conversion?

If your store’s currency is displayed based on a third-party app using the visitor’s IP, it is recommended that the Free Shipping/Announcement Bar’s currency also be converted based on IP for consistency.

10. When can I use local currency to set free shipping thresholds?

Local currency can only be used for setting free shipping thresholds when a specific country/region is selected in Specific Mode, and the store market settings have enabled the local currency. Otherwise, only the store currency can be used.
